What is your favourite session at PIP and why?
They are all brilliant for different reasons, but for me the music session is my favourite so far. Playing instruments and singing in a group makes people happy and helps them express themselves! Plus it’s so loud I can secretly sing along at my desk without anyone hearing!
What is your favourite thing about PIP
There’s such a great atmosphere and always a warm welcome when you walk in the door in the morning. The support, respect and encouragement that all the people with learning disabilities receive from staff and volunteers is wonderful and very inspiring.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I see friends and family as much as possible and when I can, I love going to the theatre. A good Greek tragedy always makes me feel clever and cultured…but it’s just pantomime really!
Tell us something interesting about yourself that we might not know.
I used to run a choir for people with learning disabilities and autism and their families. It’s by far one of the most valuable, inspiring and rewarding things I’ve done.
