We support our students to learn a range of skills including Art, Music, Healthy Cooking, Sports and Work Skills. Do you have the skills to make a difference in the lives of the people we support?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Development Worker to join our friendly team, and work closely with our service users to develop their skills and potential. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 9-5, with occasional evening and weekend work.
The post holder will deliver support for our service users across our 4 core services, including the delivery of educational sessions aimed at building confidence and skills, travel training and 1:1 community support for isolated individuals. They will also take a lead role in organising and participating in exciting events and activities, including fundraising, to ensure the continuation of the high quality support that we provide.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working with people with learning disabilities, including a strong commitment and approach to person-centred work. We are looking for an effective team player that can work closely with our small team of staff and volunteers to affect real change in the lives of adults with learning disabilities. The role of Development Worker is both diverse and challenging, and will provide the right candidate with excellent opportunities to significantly develop their skills and knowledge within the charity and social care sectors.
