Join PiP this May for National Walking Month as we take on the epic challenge of walking 5000 miles to raise £5000 for our Travel Training programme.
PiP’s Travel Training programme supports adults with learning disabilities and autism to build their confidence & develop important skills to be able to travel independently, opening up opportunities for them to gain work, keep up friendships and networks and become more independent.
As lockdown restrictions ease, we’re supporting students to safely travel in their local area and meet their friends for lunch. Socialising matters!
How to get involved
- Walk! Every step counts, so even a short daily walk will help us reach our target.
- Sign up to Strava and follow PiP so we can see your activity, count your steps and cheer you on!
- Sign! Join us at our themed online Makaton event on Friday 28th May at 1 pm. Sign up here
- Donate! £25 will fund a student’s first Travel Training session, kick starting their learning on how to travel on their own to college, their favourite park, or to PiP!
- Find out more by getting in touch with Claire, Community Fundraiser.
