Can you tell me more about your application for the student rep role? What did you have to do?
I had to write something about myself, why I would be a good student rep and how I would support the other students.

Which part of the process was challenging for you?
I had to write something about myself, why I would be a good student rep and how I would support the other students.

When did you find out the results? What was your first reaction?
It was on parents’ evening, the 16th of October and it happened in front of everyone. I was shocked, so shocked. It was a nice surprise because I did not expect that they would tell us on that day. But I think it was good because one of the trustees was there and my family as well.

Can you tell about your responsibilities as student rep?
The first one is to talk to other students to find out what they need and write it down.

What is the next event, meeting etc that you are going to attend as a student rep?
The next meeting is the big trustees meeting on 12th of November. Rashedul and I have to do a little presentation and introduce ourselves to all of the trustees.

Do you already have ideas of what you would like to achieve?
Make the road in front of PiP more easily accessible for the students in wheelchairs.

Do you have a message for the students at PiP and people with learning disabilities in general?.
Even though you are disabled you can make something out of yourself. Do not let people tell you different, because people told me different and here I am today – student rep. I will put down my name for the Westminster disability rep as well. It is achievable, it just takes time
