Corporate support

We have an excellent track record in building valuable, meaningful and mutually beneficial corporate partnerships that are tailored to specific business needs.

Everyday PiP helps people with learning disabilities get closer to living a more independent, happy, healthy and fulfilled life.  We work directly with people who have a learning disability and their families and we also work with the wider community to help educate, build confidence and reduce the disadvantage that many people with disabilities face.  As part of this, we work with companies…like yours.

Employee Involvement

We have so many opportunities for your employees to get involved and add value to PiP and we’ll work with you to offer the best, most suitable ways for them to engage with us.

LOreal 4Volunteering at PiP gives employees the opportunity to support people with learning disabilities directly.  This would most likely be during our regular scheduled activities that include creative arts, numeracy, literacy, theatre, music, healthy living, cooking, work skills and sports.  However there are also opportunities for you to deliver your own session i.e. money management which reflects your own work place expertise.  We offer training and full support to all volunteers.

‘I gained so much personally from the volunteering project, for which I feel guilty. The experience was humbling. I hope that the PiP group enjoyed the experience as much as I did, and as we could all see, they certainly did take in a lot of information.’ HMRC

Our social enterprise pop-up juice stall and training project regularly needs volunteers to help the trainees prep for big events.  Our Blueberry Bolt-On is a perfect CSR day for 5-10 volunteers. They’ll need to roll up their sleeves and support our trainees to chop, squeeze and organise juices for 200 people at least!  We can also tailor a session which pits one group of juicers against another to come up with an original juice recipe for our next pop-ups!

Take a look at our Fruitful website for more info and get in touch.

Skills-based volunteering gives employees the opportunity to use their particular areas of expertise to support the business side of PiP. This is just as valuable to a small organisation (with a small budget).

Fundraising volunteering enables you to support PiP in raising funds.  You could help us to deliver our annual events, hold a small fundraiser for colleagues at work or fundraise individually or as part of a team in a sponsored event, like our signature event – The PiP Mountain Bike Challenge.

Work placements
Lauren at the desk

People with learning disabilities have a lot to offer a work place.  Many people at PiP could work but lack the experience and confidence to do so, or may need a little extra support.  You can offer a voluntary work placement for someone at PiP.  It will help them learn and practice work skills and give them vital experience to add to their CV. It also helps build knowledge and understanding of employing someone with a learning disability among your workforce.

“Narjis is a valued member of our team here. Narjis is able to log on to her computer, read her emails and carry out requests sent via email for printing, collating and stapling.  She is always keen to help.” Georgie, Laing O’Rourke

Secondments are a great opportunity for an individual to apply their skills and provide PIP with longer term support. They are also a brilliant vehicle for employees to learn new skills to bring back into their workplaces. PIP offers part time secondment opportunities for up to one year in the following areas: IT and social media, Marketing and communications, Event management, Fundraising, HR, Frontline service delivery.

‘Working at PIP has been a truly unique and wonderful experience. I would highly recommend a secondment at PiP’ Megan, John Lewis

team buildingTeam Building

PiP can help you deliver team building events and activities.  From quiz nights and community days to sports days with our students, we can help your team bond whilst adding that extra community/charity feel.  Adding a fun fundraising element will make sure that this helps PiP too.

‘I hoped that the students enjoyed the sports day as much as I did! It was a real pleasure to spend the day in the company of such an inspirational group of young adults’ Volunteer from Rockspring

Sponsorship for events

SponsorshipPiP runs several key events throughout the year for which we actively seek event sponsors. You will find PiP a supportive, open and highly rewarding organisation to work with. Our annual Theatre Production and the PiP Mountain Bike Challenges are sponsorship opportunities not to be missed.

Grants and Donations

John LewisPIP is a small charity that needs to fundraise a significant percentage of our running costs each year. PiP has low administration costs and funds are directed toward front-line services; we are able to demonstrate excellent ‘value for money’ for our donors. We have a number of grant and donation opportunities for companies and employees.
