Privacy Policy

This privacy statement sets out how Pursuing Independent Paths (PiP) uses and protects any information that you give PiP when you use this website and any others managed by PiP. PiP is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website and any others managed by PiP, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

PiP may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998, the data controller is Pursuing Independent Paths, 4e Warwick Court, Shirland Mews, London, W9 3DY. The information you provide will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and may be used by PiP and its agents to supply the services which you have requested.

What we collect
We may collect the following information:
• name and job title
• contact information including email address
• demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
• other information relevant to surveys, event registration, donations, Fruitful and/or sales from our shop

What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
• internal record keeping
• we may use the information to help raise funds and awareness in order to achieve PiP’s charitable mission
• we may periodically send promotional emails about new volunteering and fundraising activities, items for sale in our shop, news and updates on PiP’s charitable activities or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided if you have requested these
• from time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, or post. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

Where we store your personal data
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order/event registration, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
