Only 6% of adults with a learning disability known to their local authority in England are in paid work, yet at PiP, prior to COVID, 28% of our students were in paid employment and 41% participated in work experience or volunteering. 50% of our students want to work but 80% of our participants are now unemployed and no-longer participating in placements or volunteering; their journey towards employability has been stopped in its tracks.
As we come out of lockdown, PiP want to make sure that adults with learning disabilities/autism remain involved in vocational learning and their development, and are supported to access employment, volunteering and apprenticeships as soon as they are ready.

Fruitful is our social enterprise which offers training, work experience, qualifications and paid employment to our students.
Employability Skills
Through small group and 1:1 job coaching, we support our students to access the world of work.

Through partnerships with training providers such as Petit Miracles, together we create opportunities for students to gain valuable skills.
